It will be necessary for you to
express your acceptance of the conditions
stated in this letter before your selec-
tion can be completed. In other respects|
you will be subject to the Colonial
Regulations in force for the time being,
and to the General Orders issued from
time to time by the Colonial Government.
A copy of the latest edition of the
Colonial Regulations is enclosed. The
appointment is under the Colonial
Government, and your emoluments will be

paid solely from the funds of the Colony.
If you are prepared to accept
the appointment on these conditions, you
should present yourself to one of the
Medical Advisers of this Department,
whose names are given on the enclosed
letter, for the purpose of being medi-
cally examined. The letter is to be
left with him; and you will be required
to pay him a fee of one guinea. He will
